If you believe that what I’m trying to do is to encourage people to cheat when playing all sorts of games on their personal computers, you’re kind of wrong. What I’m trying to emphasize, in reality, is that the famous strategy game, the Age of Empires III by Glu Mobile Inc., has just been released on the N-Gage by the Finnish company.

According to a Nokia Press Bulletin Board, the third edition of the Age of Empires is the first multi-player real-time strategy game that becomes available on the N-Gage. In the same time, this is the latest game that is to be launched, being part of the Age of Empires franchise that works on mobile phones.

“We are excited to have worked with Nokia to bring Age of Empires III to the N-Gage platform, adding yet another level of success to the current number one historical real-time strategy mobile game”, said Jill Braff, who is the Senior Vice President, Global Publishing, at Glu Mobile. In addition, he said that “Age of Empires III on N-Gage keeps players on their toes in the battlefield, bringing their experience to a new intensity with features including a multiplayer game mode, new skirmish maps and enhanced graphics”.

As for the features of this game, here we have an edifying list: a historically immersive setting (you must try to protect the European continent from the attacks of the Ottoman Empire), real-time strategy (as you probably already know, battle strategies and resource management are to be used in order to build the most powerful empire by conquering rival colonies), multiplayer, new skirmish maps, a new animated introduction sequence, better in-game graphics and better music and sound effects.

I can totally understand people who love to play all sorts of games on their PCs, because, after all, this is one of the most important things you can do while using your computer. This is, undoubtedly, a device that was designed to make people feel better, giving them a wide variety of activities to choose from, such as playing games, online communication, searching for information, working and so on.

But I can’t understand those who convert these days into a lifestyle, because, as far as I am concerned, this is a waste of time. However, I know that people love to do this and sometimes it can easily be mistaken for a social activity.
