Pink Audio Chair

For people who enjoy listening chillout music for long hours this chair might be an interesting solution. Unlike gaming armchairs designed especially for that environment with lots of features and focus on the ergonomic shape required during intensive gaming, audio chairs are equipped to enhance your music experience.

I don’t know how popular audio chairs are these days, but if you don’t tend to buy one, at least you have to admit it might be a cool gift to receive from someone close.
Coming in French Pink, the audio chair from Target adds a bit of color therapy, making you feel like you are in a unique place, alone, and surrounded by this optimistic and modern color. The atmosphere is enhanced depending on the music you set to play.

Available exclusively online, the audio chair here has a price of $289.99, which categorizes as affordable, or cheap, if compared with video game chairs. Even if it sounds attractive, I’d prefer something with detachable cover that can be washed separately. It’s more practical, maintaining the chair in perfect shape for a longer period of time.

Of course, you can find this model in different styles and colors, but its main feature is that it allows you to easily connect your media players to the side slots, and supported devices include iPods, MP3 Players and CD Players. The connectivity is plug-and-play so you won’t need additional tools to make it work.

The audio chair is made of cotton combined with polyester, and has polyfoam padding cushions. On the side you can place your audio accessories, while the speakers stay in the headrest. There also several outside fabric pockets for other things you might want to keep close.

In addition, the product comes together with the power adapter and the Y-adapter. Target specifies that you’ll need to read the instructions on how to do some short assembly before starting to use the speaker chair.
The whole audio chair measures 19 x 32 x 34 inches.

Cowon S9 PMP

I still think that Cowon has better PMPs that Apple. Well, at least when functions and compatibility are at stake. Design-wise, maybe the iPods have the edge there, but that is about to change for sure. Cowon has recently announced the imminent release of the S9 PMP series that not only works great, it looks spiffy too.

The S9 Curve wants to take sleekiness to new heights with its metallic-looking curved edges which seem to extend into tbe curved rear-end. According to Gizmodo, Cowon has integrated all sorts of goodies in this PMP. The display integrates a 3.3-inch AMOLED touchscreen, capable of 16 million colors and improved contrast ratios. Powering the device, is a 500 MHz CPU that can easily decode VGA and HD content at above 30 fps and other features include a T-DMB receiver, Bluetooth connectivity, media player functions and a useful electronic dictionary application. The supplied battery should be providing enough juice for 40 hours of continuous playback from just one charge, and for those of you who need to synchronize music with your moves, the S90 also includes an accelerometer. Cowon just teased the press with a couple of S90 shots at IFA, but availability and price are not known as of yet.

Bose SoundDock II

<-125x125 Button - right->
The SoundDock portable music system from Bose has now an enhanced second version working with the iPod and iPhone, providing high-quality audio, but coming with a slightly different design compared to the previous version of the model.
SoundDock Series II is the first speaker system made by Bose, certified to work with the iPhone, and supports connectivity with other gadgets like MP3 players, portable CD players and music phones.

It’s very handy when used thanks to the remote control it brings with, which allows you to play with different functions and navigate through the playlist via the infrared technology. The volume controls are placed on the unit.
Measuring only 6 5/8 x 12 x 6 ½ inches the new version maintains a small form factor for easy portability but comes with the same sound power level. You can use it even to charge your iPod or iPhone’s battery when you need.

We were expecting from Bose to update its website with the new product’s page but unfortunately it didn’t happen till this moment, so we can’t dig deeper the specifications list.
What we know is that the system supports even the latest iPhone model, the one featuring high-speed 3G connectivity, and you’ll be able to use it without enabling the Flight Mode. Hopefully you won't encounter iPhone 3G problems like others did.
Bose iPod dock black will be available in September in a stylish glossy finish at the authorized dealers at a price of $299.

Photo Safe II

Maybe you’re not a pro photographer and can’t afford dozens of SD cards for your camera. However, if you’re planning to go on vacation with only one card, you might find out quickly that even an 8 GB card can’t last for more than a week. Better have a Photo Safe II handy.

Photo Safe II is a palm sized portable hard drive that works with all OS formats. It supports a multitude of card formats including CF Type I (Extreme III, IV, UDMA but not microDrive), xD-Picture Card, MMC, SD/HC Card, miniSD, Memory Stick, MS PRO, MS Duo, and MS Pro Duo cards. It really doesn’t matter what kind of camera you have. Photo Safe II will store your photos (and other media too) by simply plugging the card into the rubber protected card slot. The rubber you see there is not only for looks, it actually turns this model into a rugged HDD.

The mini HDD can crunch 1 GB in about 3 ½ minutes. According to Coolest-Gadgets, with each saving session, the photo Safe creates a separate folder so that any existing files aren’t overwritten. You can also partition the HDD and specify on which partition to store your data.

The included rechargeable batteries won’t last too much: about 90 minutes or 16 sessions. Good thing the batteries can be recharged via the included AC adapter or by USB through your computer.
There are two variants: the 80 GB one for $130 and the 160 GB one for $189.

Best Portable MP3 Player

<-125x125 Button - right->
It’s so good to have the best MP3 player portable companion with us while jogging outside, and a nice playlist with our favorite songs… Some like slow music, others something more dynamic like HIP HOP for example, I know that’s my favorite, but the little problem I encountered personally, is that the rhythm of my music never matches with my body speed. Music has very different beats per minute, from HIP HOP with 80-100BPM tempo and house music with 120-135BPM, to Jungle music style with 150-190 BPM and even Speedcore that exceeds 200 BPM tempo.

What this cool gadget here does is to match the songs it plays with your workout pace, and it’s powered by no other than the top audio devices designer, Yamaha.
BODiBEAT is the world’s first portable MP3 player with this capability and the only one existent on the market today. It was just introduced at a retail price of $299.95.

"BODiBEAT maximizes fitness activities, adding an unprecedented level of fun and engagement to exercising," commented David Bergstrom, Director of Business Development, Yamaha Corporation of America. "BODiBEAT provides cutting edge functionality to those who need encouragement to stick with a new exercise regimen, as well as to those who are seasoned fitness buffs.

To synchronize the songs to your movement it uses a heart rate monitor that clips to your ear, while the technology detects impact during running, walking, and dancing, so the device to start playing those songs with beats per minute that match your steps per minute. It does this after categorizing automatically the songs you downloaded from the computer onto its 512MB flash memory, detecting the beats per minute.

In addition to this cool feature it also tracks metrics like distance, time, pace and heart rate to be a complete fitness companion worn on your upper arm.
You can listen to the matching music for up to 12 hours continuously on a full battery charge, during which you can change the operating modes choosing between Free for matching songs to your exercise pace, Fitness for aerobics matching, Training to know when to speed up or slow down, and Music for standard audio player functionality.

That’s not all. BODiBEAT is the best portable MP3 player and allows you to set your preferred times, distances or calorie targets and it will adjust itself accordingly and alert you when you reached them.
