Cool Tatoos
Posted by: Adina in design, fashion

Tattoos are a different form of body painting with the main characteristic of being permanents. While body painting is nothing more than paint applied on your body with a brush, getting a tattoo can be a bit more painful because of the needles which are used to insert ink into your skin layers. Tattoos go a long way back as they were means to express the belonging to different cultures. Tattoo ink is obtained directly from the nature but as beautiful and stylish and meaningful as they can be, tattoos are also very dangerous so you just don’t go around sticking a needle with ink into your skin. If you want to get a tattoo, you have to go a specialized saloon. Tattoo artist are required to take special hygiene measures.

We have seen a huge number of cool tattoos but I always believed that the coolest are actually the ones that have significance for the person which is getting tattooed. Aside from showing you some cool tattoos, we are going to tell you a thing or two about the tattooing process.
Generally, studios are very different from one another. In some cases, the chair where you sit on and get the tattoo can all be in the same room or they can be in separated rooms. Depending on the body part where you’re getting a tattoo, you can request a private room.

The first thing that tattoo artists do is they clean and disinfect the body part where the new tattoo is going to be. Normally they use rubbing alcohol in the process. If there is any hair, it will be removed with a razor which is thrown away so there is always a new one for every client.
Studios which have modern equipment are going to use a special machine that transfers the stencil for your tattoo onto a special piece of thermal paper which is the applied on your skin and it “draws the lines†for the tattoo which you are about to get.

Right about now the artist will prepare all the necessary equipment. There are special containers for every ink color used and there is also one cup with distilled water which helps clean the needles.

Now, it’s time to begin the actual tattooing process. There were a number of cases where people fainted when getting a tattoo not because of the pain but because they were really scared. I know it sounds really difficult but it is very important that you relax your muscles. The first minute will seem like an hour but the body get’s used to the needle and the pain will not be so intense anymore.

First, the artist is going to draw the lines and then fill them with color. Artists generally loves this part because they can be more creative and suggest different colors and shades for people which do not have a clear image of what the tattoo will look like in the ending.
When the tattoo is finished, most saloons like to take pictures and add them to the portfolio.
