The Coolest Car Ever

The Continental Supersports is the ultimate Bentley: the fastest and most powerful Bentley ever produced. It is a supercar with two seats, that provides the owner high performance and a extremely focused driving experience. The Supersports is able of running on petrol (gasoline) and biofuel (this being a first in Bentley’s history), revolutionizing the use of FlexFuel technology in the luxury sector. This is a step that the company considers necessary taking in order to make its whole model range compatible with renewable fuels by 2012.

The Continental Supersports is purchasable worldwide since autumn 2009, and it will be FlexFuel compatible in the greater part of markets from launch with North American cars. The Continental Supersports started as a somehow secret project, Bentley testing the possibilities of weight reduction on the Continental GT but with more power and torque. This project lasted about 24 months, when it finally came to an end, presenting a new car program, designed by a small group of passionate Bentley engineers.

The Supersports sets new performance standards for Bentley: 630PS (621 bhp) and new 'Quickshift' transmission that halves shift times, acceleration from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds (0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds) onto a top speed of 204 mph (329 km/h). The performance of this supercar is completed by some improvements of the chassis, including retuned steering and suspension, utilizing lighter weight components, retuned dampers and anti-roll bars. The Supersports’ quickness is further sharpened by the 40:60 rear-biased torque split for the all-wheel drive system, a wider rear track, bespoke lightweight 20-inch alloy wheels and a unique electronic stability program.

The Coolest Car Ever

Ferrari's Gran Turismo is inspired by Formula One technology, and it already benefits from over fifty years of Ferrari success. Enzo is named in honor of the companies' founder, and it is one of a limited series of road cars including the 288GTO, F40 and F50. These cars are the proof that Ferrari follows its faith of producing the most exclusive and technologically advanced road car. Enzo’s goal was to bridge the gap that has ever been between everyday road cars and race cars. In order to achieve this goal, many improvements have been made in the production technology of the brand.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
Enzo was built in Maranello, and tested around Fiorano by both Michael Schumacher and Dario Benuzzi. Inside the company, the project was known as the FX, and it has cost Ferrari 20 million euros to develop. The initial production number was set to 350 Enzos, but 400 were built in red, yellow or black, or a custom color if the customer's relationship with the firm was strong enough. The extra fifty cars brought in $28.8 million USD (24.4 million euros) for Ferrari, with each car being sold at a $554 00 USD (487,700 EU) profit, Ferrari proving this way that they can not only sell half million dollar cars, but they can yield a considerable profit margin from them too.

The Coolest Car Ever

The Pagani Zonda F is among the fastest supercars ever built. Zonda F was released in 2005, at Geneva Auto Show. Due to Pagani's long-time experience in carbon fiber construction, the Zonda F is considered the leader concerning fit and finish. Pagani Automobili is an independent supercar manufacturer, one of few, which has the intention, and which made it possible with the production of this super sports car, to challenge more reputable competition such as Porsche, Ferrari and Lamborghini.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
Juan Manuel Fangio discussed with Horacio Pagani, and influenced him, on every aspect of the Zonda, until the outset of the Zonda project was finished. Thus, it is obvious that Pagani's latest work pays tribute to the late Fangio, a world champion five times over. Zonda F is lighter, more powerful and faster than the Pagani cars built before. It borrows the modifications made to the C12-S Monza and refines them into a more attractive package.

Aerodynamics has an important role in the shape of Zonda's new car. The new Zonda F features a one-piece fixed wing which now receives undisturbed air thanks to relocated mirrors. A larger front splitter and rear diffuser with twin stabilizing wings create even more downforce, helping airflow underneath. There is a much larger air intake at Zonda F’s front, which increases cooling effectiveness of the more potent V12 engine. A new induction system is used for giving Zonda F more power. This system replaces the standard Mercedes-Benz unit. It features larger intake apertures and, when combined with a larger, hydroformed exhaust, the 7.3 liter Mercedes-Benz engine reaches 620 bhp.

The chassis has also received some upgrades which lighten both the overall and unsprung weight of the Zonda. In combination with the titanium wheel nuts, and diverse trimmings of the carbon fiber tub, the Zonda F weighs 1230 kgs without liquids.

The Coolest Cars Ever

When it comes to the coolest cars ever, it is clear that we must talk about supercars. If you are passionate about cars you probably know that one of the coolest cars ever comes from Lamborghini. So, first car which we chose for this review is the Lamborghini Reventon.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
the_coolest_cars_ever-s
Even if the Diablo, Gallardo or Murcielago models are the ones that made the Lamborghini Company popular in the entire world, the Lamborghini Reventon is the most exotic, extreme and rare supercar ever made by this spectacular car manufacturer. Being the last Lamborghini model, the Reventon was manufactured in only 21 copies including the prototype car, each being offered to the most demanding Lamborghini collectors. With a huge price of 1 million euro, this supercar is certainly a dream for many of us. With a full stealth design, this Lamborghini model makes even the Bugatti Veyron look common.

the-coolest-cars-ever

The body of the car is made of carbon fiber and comes painted in a matte gray color. The interior of this car seems to be similar with the interior of a spacecraft. The cluster instruments are all electronic being easy to use. The interior is also made of high-quality materials, manually assembled by experts. If you are not impressed by the technology and luxury materials used on this car, maybe the performance will make you to change your mind. This incredible supercar is powered by a 6.5-litre V12 engine which offers 650 BHP @ 8000 RPM and 487 lb ft @ 6000 RRM. With such a powerful engine, the Reventon is capable to reach 62 MPH in only 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 211 MPH. The power is transferred to the back wheels by a very responsive 6-speed manual transmission, making the car offer extraordinary sensations while driving it. So, the only thing which is crazier than the car is certainly the price.

the-coolest-cars-ever-2

The Pagani Zonda R is the second supercar chosen for this review. Even if it’s been a while since we last heard anything from Pagani Automobili Company, suddenly they launched the extraordinary Zonda R. For the beginning we must say that the Zonda R comes with a price of $1.3 million, so it is not affordable for everyone. Now, if we talk about design, this supercar looks excellent from any angle. With a “furious” design, this car seems to be designed only for usage on racetracks, being equipped with a huge rear wing, large vents and a perfect aerodynamic body. The body of the car is made of fiber-titanium material which keeps the total weight of the car at only 1000 KG (with driver and fuel added). Even if it seems to be a race car, the interior is very luxurious. All materials used have a high quality being carefully assembled. But for a supercar, luxury is not the main concern. Under the hood, the Pagani Zonda R has an incredible 6.0-litre V12 engine which produces 750 BHP and 710 Nm torque / 524 fl lbs at 5700 RPM. With such a lot of power, it needs only 2.7 seconds to reach 62 MPH. The top speed of this car is 220 MPH, a speed which only several supercars can reach. Managed by a XTrac 672 6-speed Sequential gearbox, the power is transmitted to the rear wheels making this car to fly on the roads.

Coolest Mercedes Benz

It is very well known that Mercedes is a car manufacturer which is focused on producing high quality and luxury automobiles. The coolest Mercedes Benz model is, without a doubt, Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. With this car, Mercedes has demonstrated that a powerful car can also be very luxurious. In partnership with McLaren, Mercedes has launched their first supercar capable of reaching a speed up to 200 MPH. With cutting-edge technology and an ostentatious F1-inspired design, this supercar amazed the whole world. Since it is the first supercar that Mercedes has ever made, the Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren had a huge success on the market and it has quickly become a collectable car for millionaires.

Being the coolest Mercedes Benz car model is not an easy task. The Mercedes designers have chosen the best quality materials and a lot of high-end technology in order to manufacture this car. The Mercedes SLR McLaren is a roadster car which comes with standard 19-inch wheels, heated windows, bi-xenon HID headlights, heated mirrors, semi-automatic soft top, carbon fiber sport seats, Alcantara and leather upholstery, aluminum trim, navigation system, on-board computer, dual-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth phone connectivity, adaptive cruise control, seven-speaker Bose surround-sound system and a six-CD changer. The interior is made of an excellent combination between leather, carbon fiber and aluminum, materials with are very attractive and resistant. Even if this car is a roadster, the interior is very spacious so you will feel very comfortable when you drive. The most important aspect in terms of design is the “half-gullwing” door. These doors offer extra elegance and an aggressive look at the same time.

Powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 engine, this car could impress anybody. Placed behind the front wheels, this monstrous engine produces 650 BHP and 575 pound-feet of torque. The power is distributed to the rear wheels by a five-speed automatic transmission, similar with a F1 gearbox. Even if it has 49.6 lbs in weight and 183.3 x 75.1 x 49.6 inches in dimension, the Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren can reach 60 MPH in only 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 206 MPH. Another super feature of this supercar are the powerful carbon-ceramic brakes. These brakes can slow down this supercar from 62 MPH to 0 MPH in only 114 feet. In order to provide the passengers with extra-safety, this car has a carbon fiber structure, one of the most resistant materials, two fixed rollover bars and Steel-reinforced A-pillars. Normally, this car comes with 6 airbags, ESP, ADR, ABS and a TeleAid telematics system. With all these features, there is no doubt that this SLR McLaren is the coolest Mercedes Benz ever made.

If you want to the proud owner of this supercar, you will need o pay a lot of money for it. Having the huge price of $500.000, this car is certainly not accessible to everyone. There are many people that believe the price tag for this car is a bit exaggerated.  Well, the truth is that you could buy 2 Ferraris with $500.000 so the price tag is a little too high. The thing is that people which are loyal to the Mercedes brand will pay even double the price to own such a beautiful car.
