The expert in design, Belkin, has a great gaming accessory called n52e which looks like a complicated device but in its essence is just a mouse equipped to fit all types of PC games.
It lets you customize its keys, has portable player profiles and sports a cool blue backlight, just to stand out among all other mice that try to bring design innovations.

Belkin Gaming Mouse

I’m glad that this is not a concept mouse but a real product and will be available at Belkin for a reasonable price of $69.99, taking into account the fact that it features adjustable soft-touch wrist pad for ergonomics, toggle between three keymap states, programmable 8-way thumb pad with removable joystick, non-slip rubber pads grip in place for aggressive fragging, 15 fully programmable keys built for complete customization and speed, enhanced tactile feedback and button responsiveness for rapid key pressing, and backlight for low light environments.

Besides these it doesn’t require you to have an advanced PC, but just Windows XP/Vista or Mac as operating system, USB, CD drive, 32MB HDD space, and DirectX support.

It comes together with the quick start guide and Nostromo Array Programming Software powered by Razer, the gaming devices developer.

Its not a mouse. Its an alternate keyboard. And its been around for about 5 years. This is just the latest model. So no, not a design concept at all.

Its not a mouse. Its a keyboard replacement for fps games generally.

[...] for me! Well, mine’s wireless, but I could use some sort of keyboard mouse for a change. While Belkin’s hybrid controlling device for gamers could be an interesting idea, the closest thing to all-in-one mouse seems to be the 11 button [...]
