Remember I was telling you last year about the Wireless HD technology enabled in the upcoming TV panels and about the Hitachi UT TV unveiled at the Customer Electronics Show 2008. Well, at this year, AMIMON announced the introduction of the world’s first High Definition wireless surgical display created for the operation rooms in hospitals.

Stryker Endoscopy WiSe HDTV model uses the AMIMON’s wireless HD technology, which features uncompressed wireless transmission, video data rates of up to 3Gbps, and all within the 100-feet range. This technology works through walls and the latency is less than 1 ms.
“Stryker Endoscopy is known for providing Best-in-Class high-definition visualization for surgeons,” said William Chang, Stryker Endoscopy’s Vice President of Research & Development and Chief Technology Officer. “Only AMIMON’s High-Definition Wireless Technology is capable of transmitting the surgical video with no perceptible lag or interference throughout the entire operating room. This will allow surgeons greater flexibility in positioning the surgical display while operating. In addition, the hospitals and surgery centers will save the hassle and cost of routing DVI cables through the ceilings and overhead booms.”
