A Visionary Robot

The Visionary Robot

I don’t know how to call this creation.
Maybe a robot, or a … man … or maybe it is the self portrait of Jeremy Mayer, as one of these picture’s title suggests.
Let’s call it the Typewriter Robot.

The Visionary Robot

This sculpture is made ONLY from typewriter parts, in a COLD process, without the use of soldering, welding or gluing.
It is a cold art but with the most expressive face I have ever seen, his look inspiring a visionary man concentrated on the future, able to see much more in the future than we can.

The Visionary Robot

Yes sounds incredible, but this designer assembled it mechanically during 1200 hours, time in which he disassembled typewriters and reassembled them into the full-scale human figure.

Jeremy Mayer also does charcoal drawings based on ideas about nanotechnology and biotechnology, and uses CAD and 3D software for his studies.

The Visionary Robot

The Typewriter Robot will be exposed at the future shows at Nevada Museum of Art.

Thanks, Sara!
