If I were to choose a cool mp3 player with an unique and pleasant design, one of my first choices would be the Kingston K-PEX. This player is available in the 1 GB version which costs $130 and the 2 GB version which is priced at $180. With 3.7 x 1.8 x 0.6 inches in dimensions and 2.2 ounces in weight, this may not be the thinnest or the lightest mp3 player around but it does some with a nice display placed right in the middle of the player and this display measures 2 inches in diagonal, coming with a 220 x 176 pixel resolution. But, in the end, performance is the most important factor because it is of no use having an mp3 player that comes with a lot of interesting features if the audio playback function turns out to be awful. This player comes in the 4 GB version which costs $49 and the 8 GB version is priced at $59. This player comes with a 1.5 inch display and a lot of other features. The Vibe mp3 player offers support for MP3, Audible, WMA and subscription audio files. This player also supports pictures as long as they are in the JPEG and BMP file formats. The included radio of this player has good reception and the earbuds that are included in the package are going to act as an antenna. You get up to 20 preset stations and they can be assigned either manually or automatically.



You can also benefit from the voice recording function. As for the battery performance, this player surely manages to deliver better than most of the other budget mp3 player on the market. Philip has rated the Vibe’s battery life to an amazing 25 hours of continuous audio playback and about 4 hours of video playback, which is more than you get from the tight competition. With a starting price of almost $800, it is safe to wonder if the Canon G10 digital camera is worth the financial efforts. The Canon G10 PowerShot is very similar to its younger brother – the G9. Under bright light, the quick focus will help keep shutter lag to a 0.4 seconds. If the light is dim, this lag increases to 0.8 seconds. When you wish to take 2 shots in a row, you have a 2.2 seconds gap between them. Continuous shooting is 1.4 frames per second. The AF system is quite responsive, yet not to be confused with a SLR. On the back of the camera there is this big 3 inch LCS display which is also bright but takes a lot of the batteries power. The difference is quite huge: if the display is turned off, you can take about 1000 pictures with this camera but if it’s turned on, the number is limited to about 400 shots.



The photo quality is impeccable and colors are great, exposures are even better. There is a bit of wide angle distortion at the 28 mm equivalent. Even so, the photos have good center and so are the edge-to-edge sharpness when you use longer focal lengths. Even if this camera does not live to the performance of other models such as the Panasonic Lumix DMC LX3 or the Nikon Coolpix P6000, this camera is still a very good choice for people that are looking for a good camera to take great pictures.
