Here’s what we’re told on the Bang & Olufsen: “Though the online event is over, this was only the beginning! A row of activities related to BeoSound 3 will run online, when we actually launch this unique product. At this point we can reveal that there will be several interesting prize draws, an updated eCard engine with BeoSound 3 as the main feature and a chance for you to get truly creative with BeoSound 3 – for a chance to win one of our prizes.â€
It sounds quite interesting, even if we’re talking about a product that articles were written about a couple of years ago (I found, for example, one that is dated with 2005, which is loooong time ago). In the given context, trying to find this product with information about the price and availability, it was an impossible mission, unfortunately. Not to mention the fact that the paragraph above has no date whatsoever to let me know when the online event took place.

The point is
BeoSound 3, designed by Bang & Olufsen, is a unique device that isn’t to be found in home accessory stores, even if it’s quite interesting. The BeoSound 3 packs functions like a portable radio, a clock and a digital audio player, which aren’t impressive or revolutionary. But it’s the design that counts. And we should thank its designer for that, David Lewis.
In addition, there’s a full-range loudspeaker that is integrated in the device. The BeoSound 3 runs on a rechargeable battery and you won’t be bothered by all sorts of cables or plugs.

There’s nothing I love most than concept designs. Ok, I probably love my mom more than concept designs. She’d most certainly mind if she heard me say something like this and I think she’d be right, because you know how it happens: you raise your children with more affection and love than you are able to offer and they end up telling you that they like/love concept designs more than you love them. It’s unfair.
So, concept designs are among those things that make me feel the happiest girl alive. Especially when it comes to the Moonlight, which is a beautiful laptop concept designed by Teo Braun that might give you the impression that looks very much like a cell phone.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
It has two curved screens: the one which is bigger is a 16:9 one while the other one, smaller, of course, is a 4:3. The two displays are meant to help the user reduce the stress felt by the eye. And how do they do this? Well, the distance between the eyes and the display is optimized.
The lower display is touch-sensitive (touchscreen), and it’s multifunctional, as you can always use it as a mouse, on one hand, and it’s able to run a mini operating system. Not to mention the fact that it provides extra features that are added to the main segment of the Moonlight.
A very important aspect consists of the special sensors that were designed to control the frame of the laptop and enables it to light up whenever it gets dark in the room where you use it. The Moonlight comes with some accessories to help you enjoy the best viewing and typing experience.
You won’t need to buy any laptop covers for the Moonlight, because, as you can easily see, the device looks absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately it’s just a concept for the moment.

I can’t wait for the summer to come. First of all, I want it to be here because I really have some serious issues with the winter temperatures and with the fact that I am always cold as ice. And I just hate this. Second of all, I love the sun and I strongly believe that nothing compares to the feeling one has when having a walk on the beach on a sunny afternoon.
But summer usually brings incredibly high temperatures that make us instantly melt. And, as a consequence, we’re desperately looking for solutions to help us better tolerate the weather. But as bad as it might look the situation, it’s not the time for air conditioners to join the battle. Not yet, of course, because their time will most certainly come, that’s for sure. Therefore, if you feel like flipping on the air conditioner and you know it won’t be a good thing for your health, you’d better take into consideration a fan.

Take this
Vornado fan, for example. Called the Flippi V, it can move the air within a distance of 40 feet and can be controlled by using the remote control. The fan features three different speeds to choose from, an LED display, oscillation and flip capabilities (it can flip 180 degrees) and a 3 year warranty.
There are four different types of fans, the most powerful of them all being the Flippi V, which costs $79.99.

If someone came to me and told me that his/her latest acquisition consists of a weather station, I would undoubtedly raise my eyebrow, as a sign of “what in earth were you thinking of when doing such thing?â€. “Who am I to judge people?†you’d probably say. And you’d be right, I agree. But I can’t see any reason for someone to make a decision like this.
And do you know why? Because when we need information about the weather, when we’re desperate about knowing the weather forecast, we have all sorts of other solutions to help us out. For example, we can always go “google†the problem and find the answers we need online. It’s easier and much cheaper. Especially if we’re talking about the Oregon Scientific weather station that comes in a very shiny outfit, all made of Swarovski Crystals.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
The thing is this device isn’t smarter than others, but it’s encrusted with those precious little stones, which makes it more expensive than its siblings. If you asked me, I could tell you that too much glitter isn’t a proof of good taste, but that’s just me, after all. Called the Diamond Weather Station, the device tells you the time, on one hand, and the indoor/outdoor temperature, whenever you wave your hand. Not to mention the fact that it also displays the forecast for the day on the side.
The Oregon Scientific weather station isn’t yet available, but once it will be, it’s expected to be sold for a price of
$139.

Following the example of other major companies, Kinesis decided that the 2009 edition of the Consumer Electronics Show was the best opportunity in order to release some innovative new products. As a consequence, the K2, a charger designed to work with mobile devices, based not only on solar power, but also on wind power, was unveiled during the event.
But the company doesn’t seem to spare any moment when it comes to new products, so another charger, called K3 this time, has just been unveiled. This is a “tribrid†charger, the size of a, let’s say, flashlight, and it seems that it can be used in three different ways in order to charge a mobile phone.
First of all, the user can charge the K3 through the simplest way, meaning the AC power. In addition, the K3 can also be charged by using a USB port or a car cigarette lighter. As for the two others, the user can resort to the sun and the wind, which can be done simultaneously.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
But let’s see what the K3 is able to do. Having a capacity of 4,000 mAh, it’s enough to charge a common cell phone about five times while an iPod can be juiced up more than 10 times. If the charging time is a problem for you and represents a very important criterion when it comes to buying such a product, you should know that it will take no more than an hour for approximately 30 minutes of talk time and 300 minutes of playback time.
The Kinesis Industries K3 is said to be weatherproof and weighs no more than 10.5 ounces. Unfortunately, it isn’t available at the moment, but it will be starting June, when it is said to retail for $99.95.
