Microsoft Arc: Wireless Mouse for Laptop Computers

The standard computer mouse functionality in an arc design is something out of ordinary and this unique idea came from Microsoft who launched its Arc Mouse at the beginning of September at a retail price of $59.95.
It sports this cool look and the arc shape providing a foldable design for three levels of use. The user can choose the one he/she prefers and get the best ergonomics for computer use.

Coming in classic black and elegant dark red, the mouse reflects customers’ focus towards the fashionable aspect of the latest gadgets in technology, leaving the high-end functionality aside.

“Style isn’t just about the clothes you put on your back,” said Clinton Kelly, fashion expert and host of TLC’s hit show “What Not to Wear.” “You have the option to express your personal sense of style in practically every aspect of your life, from home décor to your tech accessories. The Arc Mouse definitely tells the world you’re ahead of the curve, so to speak, and that you want to be surrounded by beautiful things all the time.”

But it isn’t enough to make you stand out of the crowd and a computer mouse has to be also easy to use and reliable for your work. To sustain this concept, Microsoft made it in a small form factor enabled especially when it’s folded in, so that you can carry it inside your bag.
Arc features a micro transceiver that snaps into the unit’s bottom with a magnet and the durable metal hinge allows you to open and close it as many times as you need because it is capable to hold over 25 pounds.

In addition, its key elements include the ambidextrous design, a battery life indicator, scroll wheel, a 2.4GHz transceiver for wireless use withing the 30-feet range, a nice carrying case with magnetic flap, Windows Flip 3D support, and advanced laser tracking system of high precision.
It is even a great wireless mouse for laptop use, thanks to its form factor of just 2.32 x 4.44 inches.
You can find it in major retail stores at around $50.

Swimming Pool Shows Realistic Global Warming Images

Hmm, indeed, you don’t know if to smile or cry when looking at these pictures. That’s a large swimming pool with a submerged city inside and was designed by ogilvy & mather, an advertising company headquartered in New York, for HSBC, one of the world’s largest banking and financial services organizations, to represent the global warming danger and one of the main consequences.

The Global Warming Swimming Pool was created for an ad campaign and its designers used these large global warming images of a city seen from above, in a photo glued to the swimming pool’s base.
The three-dimensional effect is cool and it probably wakes up the consciousness in each of us, helping to realize the upcoming negative effects of this phenomenon, which is probably irreversible already.

Upgrade Norton Antivirus to the 2009 Gaming Edition

In addition to the high-end wireless routers with a special feature designed for PC gamers, which gives priority to the gaming traffic, there is a new solution released by no other than the developer of the top malware protection software, Norton.
Sumantec’s Norton AntiVirus 2009 Gaming Edition allows you to play games safe on your computer and protect the assets you are earning during massive multi-player gaming.
Symantec specified that the software is fast, without consuming many system resources or interfering with the action.

Basic features include the Gamer Mode that suspends all updates, alerts and the other applications running in the background, while remaining activated during the full-screen mode.
With the smart scheduling the software enables high-demanding applications to continue running only when the computer is idle, while offering a non-stop protection against viruses, worms, keyloggers, spyware, trojans, bots and infected web sites.

“Gamers are an extremely demanding audience that simply won’t tolerate anything on their system that detracts from gameplay,” said Rowan Trollope, senior vice president, Consumer Products, Symantec. “Norton AntiVirus Gaming Edition keeps gamers protected online and runs perfectly undetected in the background, meaning no interruptions, no pop-ups, and with the same award winning zero-impact performance of our 2009 products.

”

You may upgrade Norton AntiVirus to the Gaming Edition by purchasing the one-year license at a price of $39.99 from the Symantec Store.

ThinkGeek Personal Soundtrack T-Shirt

Have you been missing ThinkGeek.com’s cool gadgets? Here is their latest t-shirt promised since the April Fool’s Day, when guys had announced several crazy gadgets on their website, providing us a full day of laughs. And now I am thinking of the Super Pii Pii Brothers control that women can mount on their body and use it to hit the virtual toilets appearing on screen.

One of those crazy gadgets was this Personal Soundtrack T-Shirt and readers liked it so much that ThinkGeek.com promised back then to transform it into a real product soon. Now you can purchase it online at a price of $39.99, which includes 20 built-in life soundtracks on an SD memory card and MP3 player connectivity for when you’ll want to upload your favorite songs.

Designers have embedded a strong speaker into the Personal Soundtrack T-Shirt’s material and some small electronic components meant to recognize when you press buttons from 1 to 20 on the included mini remote control.
For example, when you press the “3” button, it starts to play the file named “03.mp3”, while if you add an “L” at the end of your song’s name, like “04L.mp3”, as you press the “4” button on the remote it will play the same song in loop until you stop it.
In the embedded player you get 10 music themes and 10 sound effects and it is fully compatible with the iPod if you power it using 4 AA batteries.

Kisai Denshoku LED Digital Watch

I don’t feel attracted too much by the LED digital watch models, but this new one from Tokioflash looks different than what I am used to see among these types of wrist watches. It was inspired by the neon skylines of Shinjuku and was named Kisai Denshoku.

The time displaying mechanism is pretty simple, compared to the other models on the market, which feature too many LEDs of different colors. It requires you to press a single button to enable the three stages of displaying the time. You can read the time by counting the number of lit hour blocks, ten minute blocks and single minute blocks.
There is a total of 12 bars of orange LED lights on the LED digital watch and I could say that this watch matches men style rather than ladies'.

Kisai Denshoku is made of aluminum and stainless steel with a metallic brushed finish.

Other characteristics of the new LED digital watch from Tokyoflash include the energy saving mode, 3ATM water resistance and a weight of 95 grams.
It is available in Black/Orange and Silver/Orange at a price of $247.72.
