Motorola Aura is a unique mobile handset announced at the end of October and prepared for the release this quarter worldwide, featuring the world’s first 16-million color circular display of 300dpi resolution, 62-carat sapphire crystal lens for scratch-resistance, with the entire unit encased in stainless steel for extra durability, which also houses over 700 individual components.

It is not a slider, clamshell nor bar-styled cell phone, but uses an assisted-opening blade mechanism for the display unit.
AURA luxury cell phones’ design is meant to inspire those timeless luxury watches and the handsets are handcrafted in Switzerland.
Motorola likes to compare the way you open the AURA with the way you open a luxury car’s door, thinking of the rotating mechanism of the phone that uses 200 individual parts and special coating encountered at the top racing cars.

Features of these unique luxury cell phones include 7.3 hours of talk time, 400 hours of standby, quad-band support for all world’s frequencies, EDGE, GPRS, stereo Bluetooth, Enhanced Data Rate, A2DP profile, open source web browser, no less than 2GB user memory, built-in 2MP digital camera with fixed focus, multimedia player and email messaging.
You can perform lots of operations on it watching the 1.55-inch LCD display.

“AURA is Motorola’s latest endeavor into the high-tier mobile device space and is the result of our continued inspiration to innovate in design, imagination and state-of-the-art handcraftsmanship,†said Jim Wicks, corporate vice president and director of Consumer Experience Design, Mobile Devices, Motorola. “From the moment AURA owners hold their phones, they elevate their own experience in luxury and unmatched quality.â€
It seems an incredible stylish cell phone destined to men mostly and we’re curious to discover the price.

Whether you are traveling and need to keep in touch with your colleagues on the go, or you work at home on your desktop computer and like to show off things to your friends on the web camera during chat, you would probably love to have a powerful speakerphone designed for use on the Internet while you make phone calls.

One such device is now provided by Panasonic and called the TS710 USB speaker/handset. It was designed for multi-use and optimized with Internet speakerphone functionality to make phone calls online, as well as VoIP handset and PC speaker.
The gadget is plug-and-play, so you won’t need to have knowledge of how to install special software in order to make it work, because it will be recognized automatically by your computer, as you plug its cable in one of your free USB ports.

Panasonic offers it via Fry’s and Amazon at a price of $59.95 in black with mirror finish or metallic silver, allowing you to keep chatting with friends using voice from any corner of your room, or make phone calls via Internet with the TS710 folded out.
“We’ve incorporated three key features into one device for ultimate ease of use,†said Bill Taylor, Vice President, Communications Solutions Group, Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company. “The hands-free function is perfect for multitasking when you are too busy to leave your PC, while the handset function enables private calling with very little sound leakage. And the PC Speaker function comes with high quality 8-kHz sound so that users have a more enjoyable music experience from their computers.â€

“We are always adding new games to our training roster – for instance we are adding Battlefield 2142 for the PC in the next few days and there are some biggies on the horizon in the next few months.â€
This is what Dave Williams, co-founder and president of Gamertrainer.com, told us at the end of the interview we took him back in September. Only 2 months have passed and gamertrainers have already some cool news for us. They launched the Holiday Gift Certificate Program called "Unleash Their Game!", an interesting alternative to the standard retail gift cards and destined to "The Gamer That Has Everything".

Using the unique code from the gamertrainers you can book a lesson and ask for specific elements you want to learn. In short time, you gamertrainer will contact you directly to start the course.
As you probably already know, the courses take place online via Microsoft's Xbox LIVE, Sony's PLAYSTATION Network, while PC game trainers can teach you key things via PC-based servers if it’s about video games like WoW.
The gift certificates are very consistent, ranging from $17.99 to $19.95 per hour, depending on the number of hours you purchased.
"People are always looking for something beyond the usual gift cards and fruit baskets to give around the holidays," said David Williams, co-founder and president of Gamertrainer.com, LLC. "Gamertrainer gift certificates are great for all levels of gamers, from beginners to pros and can be used for training on any of the current consoles and many of the hottest games," added Williams. "They are also an excellent addition to any gaming related gift – buy a game, buy an hour or two of training to go with it."
(Thanks for the tip, Dave!)
