AV Recorder Sunglasses

AV Recorder Sunglasses

Among heaps and heaps of 007-inspired gadgets, a new breed seems to become prominent. The good-for-all glasses may soon be equipped with life sustaining microdevices, but for now, glasses are keen on audio-video stuff. Take for example the VCP-103 Sunglasses Video Camera.

According to their maker, a Chinese company known as Oocare, this device is world’s smallest audio video recorder with sunglasses shape camera for hidden AV recording. You can connect the sunglasses camera directly with a special AV recorder, and you won’t even need an external power supply for it.The recorder is able to capture super crisp real time audio video signals with date and time stamping superimposed. The sunglasses are specially designed for Law enforcement agencies that rely on stealthy investigation.

Other interesting features include an assortment of different color lenses to help you blend in with your surroundings. Obviously, blue lenses go well with beach environments, brown with jungle ones, and grey for rainy situations. The DVR recorder supports a 2GB card, 8 hour operation per charge and the camera features a super low light 0.3 lux night time setting.

Peugeot Ozone

Most of the car concepts I see today tend to adopt a more aerodynamic shape. But in order to provide enough power to make a car go as fast as possible, you need to use some sort of fossil fuel. However, car constructors are trying to provide alternative ways to power your car, as the green house effect leading to global warming has become an important issue. For instance, in a hydrogen-powered car, fuel cells turn hydrogen into electricity, so that they completely do away with the use of fossil fuels. Moreover, these hydrogen-based engines are unbelievably efficient as well as clean and safe. One of the latest “green” cars conceptualized by Peugeot is the Ozone car, not your aerodynamic fast car anymore, but it's a peculiar concept nonetheless.

Gizmodo tells us that this hydrogen powered fuel cell transportation vehicle seems to be addressing kids, rather than adults. The whole barrel-like structure is encased between two giant wheels that are controlled by two separate electric motor powered by fuel cells.

The car comes with only two seats and it can be controlled via a joystick panel in the dashboard. Although it seems awkward at first, the design with a semi transparent glass casing offers a great interior volume and exterior view. In case you want to get in or out of it, all you need is to activate the huge glass doors that slide 360 degrees into the symmetric metal body.

Anti Gravity Luggage

Anti Gravity Luggage

Yesterday we read in a press release about a new world’s first product that will surely interest you to hear about. It’s called LiveLuggage Power Assisted series.Anti Gravity Luggage
It seems that this luggage uses the pancake/flat wheel technology and an Anti-Gravity handle to distribute 85% of the total weight on the wheels, making you feel like carrying only a fraction of it.
For example, if you are going on a trip and have to carry 25Kg of clothes and other stuff with you, LiveLuggage power assisted suitcase would feel like weighting just 2.5Kg or so. This sounds so interesting that we weren’t sure about its capability until we talked to Clive Hemsley and read Neil Armstrong’s examples of this product's capabilities.

Anti Gravity Luggage

The company explains how this works: the intelligent torque control system powers the wheels and the pressure is applied to the handle, leading to the concentration of force sensors at the base. The tilt switch/sensors power the wheels at specific angles between 15% and 35% incline.
This technology activates manually or automatically when needed and in those situations when you drop the luggage, it automatically deactivates so your stuff won’t run away.

Anti Gravity Luggage

In addition you can adjust the handle’s height at up to 3 levels for best ergonomics.
The PA series measures 840 x 500 x 340 mm at 10.6Kg and powers from a rechargeable 12V NiMH battery. The handle is injection moulded in a PC ABS material and glass filled nylon, and according to Neil Armstrong, Live Luggage MD, “On test, fully charged, it travelled 1.5 miles with 32kg, approximately 2.5 hours charge.”

If you are ready to purchase the coolest power assisted suitcase, it is available on the company’s website at a price of $1,365.25.

WOW-Pen Mouse

WOW-Pen Mouse

I haven’t seen an interesting and ergonomic mouse design in a while. The truth is in several years we won’t be needing such devices anymore, as the graphical user interface will have evolved to a degree where we can access things with our eyes. Until we actually get to test new ways of interacting with our PCs, WOW Technology presents an interesting mouse design dubbed the WOW-Pen Joy.

The WOW-Pen reminds me of Evoluent’sVertical Mouse which positions the hand in a more natural handshake stance. Logically, this position is less stressful on the arm and can reduce wrist injuries. Gizmag reports that even Microsoft, better known for its software but also the largest producer of cursor control devices in the world, has slowly but surely raised the angles of its mice to more vertical over the last few years.

The WOW-PEN Joy has recently won the computer accessories category of the prestigious ‘Red Dot design award 2008.’ The pen-like mouse was already launched on the Korean market some weeks ago, and is expected to be available globally by the end of July.

Standard features include a USB connection, dimension of 72(W) x 102(D) x 85mm(H), weight of 130g, 5 default buttons, resolution of 800 dpi, and Windows, as well as Mac OS X compatibility.

Brian H Joe, CEO of WOW Technology, said: “Beginning with our new product, we will be launching other variety of products such as wireless type, children’s mouse, and left-handed mouse.”

The mouse is set to be commercialized for USD$30 in the U.S. and USD$45 for Europe later on in July.

We are happy to hear from Sprint that the award-winning Smartphone, Samsung Instinct, has become the fastest-selling EVDO handset in the first week of availability! The phone, as you already know, was released on June 20 and broke all the records. Samsung Instinct Breaks Records

"We had high expectations going into the launch so our initial order to Samsung was the largest for any Sprint EVDO handset to date," said John Garcia, President of Sprint's Wireless Division. "The strong early response tells us that wireless customers recognize Instinct as a highly-innovative and convenient touch-screen device combined with the fast speeds available on the largest national mobile broadband network. In the first few days of availability, many Instinct devices were purchased by existing customers upgrading their wireless device - we thank our customers for their endorsement of this device, our Simply Everything pricing plan and our company."

After attending the Sprint’s live presentation of the Smartphone we can say that we’re not surprised of its success, but we are sad to hear that this led to temporary shortages of the device at some locations across the United States. We are also sure that Sprint will bring more for you.

"We know we have a winner in Instinct, especially since Sprint's EVDO Rev A network offers five times more mobile broadband coverage than the AT&T 3G network based on square miles," added Garcia. "We appreciate the support from our customers and we are committed to working with Samsung to ensure that every customer who wants an Instinct can get one."

From what we read while browsing through customer’s reviews, we know now that old customers love Samsung Instinct, new customers consider it to be an all-in-one entertainment device for travelling, while others were anxious to get it after reading our reviews on Techpin and CameraPhonesPlaza, and become addicted to the idea of owning a one of the coolest mobile phones.
We have to mention again its low price of just $129.99 including a 2-year contract after a $100 mail-in rebate.
