When considering a home theatre system, you have to think of buying a large enough display to go with it. But how do we define “large-enough This most of the times depends on the size of the room where you want to place the home theatre system, so you could a 37†HDTV or a 70†plasma. You also have to carefully consider the price. Instead of searching for the best money/performance ratio, why not try this special system which attaches to your goggles?
This is the i-Bean Head Mounted Video System. It’s an ultra-lightweight head mount television that is able to display a 21 inch screen as if it were 1 meter away from your eyes. You know how heavy plasma HDTVs can get these days, but compared to these, the i-Bean is light as a feather - it weighs only 10g. Best of all, you get the sucker mount, which allows you stick the unit on any eyewear you’ve got lying around, from stylish RayBans to some old reading eyeglasses. Additionally, the main unit incorporates a TV tuner and can be powered through 3 AA batteries as well as an AC power cord.
For the time being, the i-Bean system is only available in Asia for about $385.
With a music system like beamz, remembering us of Jean Michael Jarre’s shows, any music passionate can play songs even if they don’t have that special gift…
Beamz Music Performance System is based on laser light replacing the cords of a music instrument which you have to touch in order to produce sounds.
In the video above you can see exactly how it works.
The device is designed to let you play hundreds of different instrument sounds from all music genres, starting with classical and ending, if you like, with hip-hop and country.
To play the light you have to break the 6 laser beams with your hands, which generates pre-authored pulses, streams, riffs and loops of notes or sounds.
The device connects to computers via USB and you can attach some cool speakers to amplify the sound and hear all the sounds in detail. It features an intuitive computer interface and pre-loaded samples from jazz, bluegrass, classical, hip-hop, reggae, heavy metal, jazz, blues, hard rock, Latin, and so on. After playing with these for a while you can start improvise and create your own style and original songs, record them, playback and share with friends.
One of the places where you can find beamz available for purchasing is The Sharper Image store that offers it at a price of $599.95.
Most of us have a PC at home as well as at the office. It’s true that even at the office you can find different ways to relax after some hard working hours, and yes, you can relax away from the PC. But since you have that PC at hand and you somehow find it impossible to leave your comfortable chair, why not use a WowWee’s Chatterbot to cheer you up?
The Chatterbot can be found in three different editions: the Devil/Angel, the Dog and the Fairy Godfather. The bots can verbalize some funny lines and are controlled and powered via USB. Basically, the Chatterbox comes up with jokes, dialog, and comments depending on what you type from the keyboard inside a chat or office program from your computer. It works with email, calendar, instant messengers applications and others.
Besides cheering you up with humorous remarks, the Chatterbox also functions as a speaker. All you need to do is install the provided application on your HDD and make some changes to your audio setting on your PC to get it to work. You can even use it as an iPod speaker. Take a look at this demo clip:
The latest updates from WowWee also let you add more sounds to the built-in sound bank of the Chatterbox. This way you can program these new sounds to trigger every time you type in a predefined word or sentence.
Since its appearance, the Yuno PC concept was a pleasant surprise for many of us because of its unique shape of a long cup of coffee, capable to display the contacts and menus on its exterior surface that is a large touch-sensitive OLED display.
It was designed especially for business professionals, but also for people who like to travel, as a mobile companion that would serve as the morning and afternoon coffee cup as well as a cool personal computer.
Although it is a cool computer design concept I can’t say it is meant to replace a laptop, because it doesn’t provide a keyboard to complete your Office documents or PowerPoint presentation projects.
Yuno measures 6.25 x 3.75 inches and is washable if you remove the detachable bottom that houses the hardware.
While drinking your hot coffee or tea in the morning you can just touch its surface to reveal the latest emails, information on stocks, news and even traffic. When you’re done reading you can simply set a nice wallpaper on its surface and take it with you at work.
What do you like and what don’t you like at a coffee cup-shaped PC?

You decided to buy a new computer, but you don’t want yet another blocky black PC case that you’d hide under the desk. This time you really want to impress everyone with a cool case and some powerful specs. Suissa Computers has exactly what you need.
<-120x240 Vertical Banner - left->Suissa claims that the form of Enlighten, their unconventional-looking PC case, relates to our changing uses and understanding the proceeds of our personal technology. Enlighten features a visually dynamic form which explores the modular aspect of present day technology, “reflecting the movement through time that our mem6ories occupy and provides a tangible home for them.â€
Because of its unique form factor, Enlighten comes with a technology package slightly different than the rest of the Suissa collection. In this sense, the Enlighten is more of a small factor HTPC, which, nonetheless, integrates some quality components such as: integrates a micro ATX motherboard, Intel Quad core CPU or AMD X2 6400+, single NVIDIA 8800GTX video card or ATI Radeon HD2900XT, 4GB PC6400 RAM, 1TB hard drive space, DVD burner and a 620W power supply.
The Enlighten casing is able to dissipate heat through the use of the aluminum around the power supply and DVD drive and through careful venting of air into, around and out of the main housing. Suiisa also managed to separate the power supply and DVD out of the main case, in order to avoid a cascading heat effect found in many computer designs.
Details on how to purchase the Enlighten PC can be found on the official Suissa site.
