Cranberry, a provider of hardware and software solutions for server-based computing and application virtualization markets, has come up with a brilliant innovation, a computer that is the most energy-efficient alternative to a desktop PC having a large applicability in private and public sector organizations where it can reduce the carbon footprint of the existent computers with up to 95%.

At the moment, the existing computers have an average power consumption of 175 watts, while the SC20 client is consuming just 9 watts and it also 19 times more efficient because of the management software it is coming with which helps in reducing power consumption by turning off unused devices automatically.



A study conducted by Smart Client showed that using the right computer equipment offsets carbon dioxide emissions equivalent to a 2.5 hour business flight every year, and Smart Client 20 solves this problem.
