The creator of this new concept is postlerferguson, a team that had in mind the image of a perfect society where technology reached a high level and human coexist with robots in domestic spaces in a symbiosis.






Yes, sounds like the I Robot movie theme and is indeed an interesting idea, but this team is detailing it a bit suggesting that it would be perfect if “The design of domestic objects that reflect the needs of both machines and humans becomes a tool for exploring the human condition and our fascination with using technology to recreate ourselves.”



What you see in these images is a robot concept that could help you with shaving your beard, serving your meal or washing your…. ears?!

ASUS unveiled some of the most interesting devices at CES this year including notebooks, handsets and monitors, all showing the latest tech design trends and here are three of them, selected from different categories: Nova P22 mini desktop PC, the MK241 24" LCD Monitor and the R700 Personal Navigation Device.




Maybe the most attractive among all is the new Nova P22, a mini desktop PC capable of delivering extremely quiet operations at just 25dB and coming with world’s first 802.11n + Bluetooth connectivity encountered at a mini desktop computer, and multimedia playback capabilities.
The powerful portable desktop computer is so small that requires just 122 cubic inches of space on your desk, but besides that it works with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor cooled passively and actively by a heat dissipation module, heat pipes and fans.

Its transmission rate is of 300 Mbps so you can be sure that you’ll be able to download a high definition video of 30 minutes in just 45 seconds.
The integrated sound system consists of two built-in speakers located in front of the housing and is capable of delivering quality sound output but also supports 5.1 speaker configurations with Dolby Digital Live or DTS connect technology.

Because of its small dimensions, it was easy to be designed with a flexible horizontal/vertical placement, slot-loading drive and a sleek exterior, to accommodate any environment.
Nova P22 mini PC will be available later this month in US at a starting price of $799 USD.

If we talk about ASUS monitors we have to mention the MK241 LCD model of 24 inches that brings native HDMI support for high definition, the built-in web camera with microphone, and the speakers that provide a quality audio experience.
The LCD monitor will be available at $539 and one of the characteristics that raised its price is ASUS Color-Rich Technology in charge with enhancing the image quality with 30% more than other models on the market.

If you’ll ever need a personal navigation device I may recommend you to get an ASUS R700 model, because it will bring you GPS capability, real-time traffic update and has also media player capabilities.
It is really the first device of its kind to integrate a 3D navigation engine for real-time traffic data, meaning that you can receive the fastest traveling routes.



The PND measures just 1.3cm thick showing a 4.3-inch touch-sensitive display and can verbalize the incoming text messages.
Other features include the music player, picture viewer, and a smart light sensor for adjusting the panel back light depending on the brightness that surrounds it.
It is priced at $399 and will be available this month in US.

Once sound quality has reached its highest point, portable music players can only get their design improved, and taken beyond anything we would have imagined 5 years ago. Unfortunately, in some cases, an interesting design comes to cover poor sound quality or lack of features, but that's not the point. Today I just found a beauty, and I want to show it to you, because hearing it, is something that needs to be done sometimes in the future, when the oportunity arrives...

Aigo is the leading brand on the Chinese market when it comes to MP3 players, and not only them. The picture above shows one of their big hits on the British market, which isn't available in the US, unfortunately, for now, but let's hope things will change in the future. Now, why would you buy such a thing?

Obviously, it's the design, first of all. I usually enjoy more "classic" stuff, but this one made me dream already, because I don't live in the UK, and I didn't see it anywhere within my reach, either. Anyway, let's see what technical specifications we have available, shall we?

It seems that after designing that UFO-like USB hub I told you about a few days ago (you can read that article here), the guys at Kensington didn't grab some six-packs and relaxed, because today I just found out about something pretty useful for a lot of people, coming from them, that being a so-called Dual Monitor Adapter...

While surfing on the Internet in searching for some cool gadgets to write about, I’ve found this light bulb on the Motionbulb website and what caught my attention was its lighting time, which is of up to five years.



That means you don’t need to replace the light bulb during this period because it lasts as long as ten standard light bulbs, as it uses less energy to emit the same light, reducing significantly your bill.
