The well known Virus Bulletin organization has made public the latest test results of the most famous anti-virus programs.

As many of your were probably expecting, BitDefender is in the top of the best anti-viruses, together with NOD32, F-Secure Anti-Virus 2008, Grisoft AVG and McAfee.
The bad news is that my favored antivirus, Kasperski, has failed the test because it didn’t find a specific virus during the full scanning.
Because of this failure the ramous program has lost the VB100 certification, but it is not alone in this, being accompanied by other complex programs such as Avast and Avira AntiVir.
The VB100 award was introduced in 1998 becoming widely recognized within the industry, and the anti-virus products participating at this event must detect all In the Wild viruses during both on-demand and on-access scanning, and to generate no false positives when scanning a set of clean files.
