Redesigned and improved with new search technology, a three-panel design, and other new features Ask.com was launched this recently. The site is aiming at differentiating itself from its competitors.

ask.com Through algorithmic content-matching and ranking technology, Morph takes the results from several different sources and transforms the page layout to accommodate it. Technology called 'Morph' provides the basis for most searches.

ExpertRank is one feature that the results by giving prominence to the most authoritative sources in an effort to help the user find what they need faster.
According to Ask the new design ‘Ask3D’ represents the three dimensions of search. The three-panel interface contains ‘query expression’ in the left, ‘results’ in the center, and ‘content’ in the right panel.

Other new features include a more deeply personalized webpage, more multimedia preview capabilities from the search results page, location-based results, and new video search capabilities, with technology culled from Blinkx.

Parallels announced this week that version 3.0 of Parallels Desktop for Mac is now available as a beta release candidate. The award-winning product allows users to concurrently run Windows, Linux, or any other operating system with Mac's own OS X, is expected within a few weeks.parallels destop

Version 3.0 of Parallels Desktop works on any Intel-powered Mac and features a new integration tool, called SmartSelect, that gives users the ability to run any Windows or OS X file with any program, from either OS. SmartSelect works in tandem with Coherence, Parallels Desktop's feature that allows Windows applications to run as if they were native Mac apps under OS X.

Among the new features are the drag and drop option of files and folders between OS X and Windows, and use Intel's Virtualization Technology for improved performance.

There are more than 50 new features or improvements in the 3.0 version, the . These include hardware-accelerated 3D graphics, a'snapshot' backup, and several new security settings to protect against cross-platform breaches.

A 15-day free trial is available on the Parallels site. Current users can upgrade to the final release for $49.99, although the prerelease upgrade price is $39.99. The standard price of Parallels Desktop for Mac 3.0 is $79.99.

Chicago-based FeedBurner is a 'web feed' firm that lets online publishers constantly send updated news, commentary and other content directly to readers with tools such as Really Simple Syndication (RSS).

FeedBurner also offers a tool for pushing ads through feeds, generating advertising revenue.
Google has along the time constantly looking for ways to identify and offer new tools for content creators and website publishers.

According to Google's vice president of product management Susan Wojcicki the company aims to give AdWords advertisers broader distribution to an even wider audience of users.In these matter they aquired FeedBurner.

Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed. According to some reports Google was to pay 100 million dollars for FeedBurner, which was launched in 2004.
